Meet Ben
Ben is the Director and Principal Physiotherapist at The Addison, with an extensive background in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy.
Ben spent four years within the South Sydney Rabbitohs system, working as Head Physiotherapist for the U17 and U19 squads. During this time he also assisted the club’s high-performance medical team with the NRL squad. Prior to rugby league, he worked in the National Premier League with Canterbury Bankstown FC and Rockdale City Suns, supporting athletes through acute injuries, sustained workloads and return-to-competition phases. These roles gave him a strong understanding of how to guide both emerging athletes and players competing at the highest level.
Before establishing The Addison, Ben worked as Senior Physiotherapist at Alexandria Physiotherapy from its opening. He was central to developing the clinic’s reputation for evidence-based care across complex presentations and sports injuries, earning the trust of both local clients and athletes.
His background in high-performance environments has shaped a treatment style centred on precise assessment, purposeful rehabilitation and long-term outcomes. Having recently completed the SportsMap Hip and Groin Rehabilitation Course and the SportsMap Advanced Upper Limb Rehabilitation in Sport Course, both widely regarded across the industry for clinicians working in elite sport, Ben brings current and evidence-based frameworks to his clinical practice. His key areas of speciality include athletic groin pain, lower limb tendinopathy, complex hamstring rehabilitation and dry needling. He is particularly interested in rebuilding strength and capacity after acute lower limb injuries and guiding athletes through the critical stages of return to performance.
Ben believes every person is an athlete in their own way and deserves the same level of expertise, communication and ongoing care provided in professional sport. His goal is to deliver structured and achievable rehabilitation plans that prioritise longevity, confidence and sustained performance. He values clear communication, practical education and regular review so clients understand their progress and feel supported through every stage of their rehabilitation.
Ben has been an Inner West local his entire life, growing up in the nearby suburb of Earlwood. His connection to the area runs deep and he values the opportunity to support the people who live here, helping locals stay active, move well and feel confident in their bodies.
