Ben is our Senior Physiotherapist and has an extensive background in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy.

Ben was involved with the South Sydney Rabbitohs system for 4 years as Head Physiotherapist for both the U17’s and U19’s squads. In his time at the club, he also assisted the medical team with the NRL squad. Prior to this, he worked with football teams Canterbury Bankstown FC and Rockdale City Suns in the National Premier League.

He has continued his professional development by completing courses - Athletic Groin Pain Symposium, Upper Limb Rehabilitation in Sport and Mastering Lower Limb Tendinopathy as well as dry needling courses.

He has a special interest in the treatment of complex hamstring and acute lower limb injuries. Ben believes that everybody is an athlete in their own right and therefore each individual should receive the same level of expertise and ongoing care like that of a professional athlete.

At The Addison, we provide physiotherapy for workplace and motor vehicle accident injuries under Workers Compensation and CTP schemes. Our care is evidence-based, clearly documented, and aligned with insurer and medical requirements.

Your rehabilitation at our state-of-the-art Marrickville clinic begins with a structured plan outlining goals and return-to-work timeframes. We complete AHTRs and progress reports, and communicate directly with GPs, case managers, and rehabilitation consultants to keep your recovery coordinated and on track. Certificates of Capacity guide treatment so your program matches current work restrictions and goals.

Rehabilitation focuses on restoring function, managing pain, and building confidence for a safe return to work, using exercise therapy, manual treatment, load management, and ergonomic strategies.

We provide clear communication, professional documentation, and outcome-driven care for clients across the Inner West, including Enmore, Stanmore, and Petersham.

Ben's creates simple and achievable programs for all clients and ensure that longevity is at the forefront of their rehab plan.

FAQs

  • What types of work injuries do you treat?

We treat injuries related to manual handling, repetitive strain, slips and falls, overuse, and postural load. This includes back pain, shoulder and neck strain, tendon and joint injuries, and muscle sprains.

  • Do I need a referral from my employer or doctor?

A GP referral is usually required for WorkCover or CTP claims. If you don’t have one yet, we can help guide the process. You can also attend privately in the meantime.

  • Is treatment covered by WorkCover or Insurance?

Yes, if your claim is approved. Treatment is billed directly to the insurer under the Workers Compensation or CTP scheme.

  • Can you communicate with my workplace or case manager?

Yes. We regularly liaise with employers, case managers, rehabilitation providers, and GPs to ensure your return-to-work plan is coordinated and appropriate.

  • Can I still come if my claim hasn’t been approved yet?

Yes. You can start treatment privately while your claim is being processed, and billing can be adjusted once approval is confirmed.

  • Can you help me transition back to full duties?

Yes. We provide staged return-to-work planning, task-specific strengthening, and load progression to support a safe and sustainable return to full duties.
